Paul Lee

Born in Jilin City, Jilin province in 1982, Paul Lee has lived in Shenzhen, Guangdong province for almost 20 years. A member of the Shenzhen Artists Association, he specialises in portraits in oil on canvas.

Paul started to learn painting at the age of 13. When he was 18 years old, he was admitted to the Fine Arts College of Changchun Normal University, Jilin province, majoring in oil painting with classic techniques.

He cares about how human beings feel about their surroundings and what’s happening to them. With his paintbrush, he seeks to express the inner world of human beings, the relationship and consequence of our surroundings upon our psychology, especially nowadays as Al starts to interfere or become involved with humans. What will happen next? This question prompted him to think and start his new series “Robot” to express how he feels about it. “Robot” also has its origins in his last series “Doll”, which he has been working on for the past decade, since his child was born.
